New Year Updates

Happy new year everyone.

We just wanted to update you on a few recent developments.

Live Support
Today sees the release of our new live customer support system. We appeared to be receiving delays with the previous system and some customers were not getting through to an operator quick enough. As well as transferring to a new system, we have also added ‘live support’ images to every page of our site so if you have any questions, please get in touch.

Latest Design
Our latest design project went live a couple of days ago. We would like to welcome Fitz2Kleen to the Wicketts family. We have set up and are now hosting their new web site. Their old site can be seen here. Please let us know what you think of the new design.

We realise that you are probably struggling through the post-new-years-hangover so we will leave it at that for now!

Repair or Replace?

Now that you have eaten the majority of the turkey, the family are starting to go home and you finally have a bit of time to relax - you may find yourself on the computer.

One thing that we tend to notice during times like this when we haven't got much to do is how slow our computers have become.

Over time they slow down. New programs are added, people are downloading new things off of the Internet, the desktop is becoming clogged up with icons and the computer seems to be running a lot slower. This is the time when we think, should I get a new computer or repair the current one?

A lot of people would argue that if you have the money, you should get a new computer but I disagree. Not only do you have to work out what you actually need, find the best deal but once you have it you will need to transfer all of your documents and programs to the new computer.

Most of the time, upgrading your current PC can be a much better way to speed up your computer especially if you computer is less than five years old.

For less than £100 you could upgrade your RAM, have it installed and get a complete health check of your machine. A new computer will cost you a lot more and it probably will not be a high a specification as your current computer with its extra memory (RAM).
